SEA LIFE sponsorship brings spectacular stories with Deep Ocean Tales

Walker Books have announced a partnership with a SEA LIFE sponsorship for special after-hours story time experiences in SEA LIFE centres around the UK, launching with an evening with Malamander author Thomas Taylor at SEA LIFE London in May half term. The deal was brokered by sponsorship agency Reg & Co.

The “Deep Ocean Tales” event will see Taylor reading and discussing his new seaside-set adventure story with the backdrop of SEA LIFE’s spectacular sharks including Black Tip Reef and Nurse Sharks. The night will offer families the opportunity to dive in after-hours and experience storytelling and book-themed arts and crafts, as well as explore an underwater world of glittering scales, waddling feet and razor-sharp teeth as they come face-to-fin with over 7,000 creatures.

“We’re always looking for new and innovative ways to engage children in storytelling and reading, and teaming up with SEA LIFE was the perfect opportunity to do this. In particular, for Thomas Taylor’s eccentric and thrilling Malamander story, the chance to see the story come to life in front of an actual shark tank will be an unmissable event!” – Rosi Crawley, Senior Publicity Manager at Walker Books.

Malamander has just been announced as Waterstones Children’s Book of the Month, with stores across the country promoting the book. It has also already sold in 12 foreign territories after Walker purchased global rights for a six figure sum, winning out against 8 other publishers.
