Chatting with Clients – Michael Benson, Photo London

Throughout Lockdown, our relationships with clients have been what has kept us going through what is likely to be one of the hardest times our industry has and might face. We have been chatting to our clients, friends, and people we respect in the industry to get their take on what has kept them going. how their business has worked it way through the challenge and what they think it will be like coming out the other side.

Today, we chatted with Michael Benson, Director at Photo London

As galleries and museums begin to open across Europe and as major festival and events are being scheduled for the autumn, Photo London is determined to play a part in the recovery of London’s cultural sector.

Our sixth edition will be held at Gray’s Inn Gardens from 7–11 October 2020, thus coinciding with Frieze art fair and a number of other significant cultural events in London.

Building on the success of our first five editions, we aim to create an outstanding platform for the exhibitors and a safe environment for all. The new Central London location is one of the largest privately owned gardens in London, originally laid out by Sir Francis Bacon in 1608. The configuration of the Gardens will allow Photo London to exercise careful control over numbers entering and exiting the site. This will be crucially important this year when the safety of visitors, staff and exhibitors is our highest priority.

We will continue to champion photography in London and abroad and explore ways to support emerging galleries and boundary-breaking artists through our acclaimed Discovery section.
