We have been working with the Barmy over the last year and have recently introduced Kingfisher beer as a tactical partner to work with the Barmy Army team across their summer series against India.


The Barmy Army teamed up with Kingfisher Beer in order to establish just who deserves the coveted title “Greatest Cricket Fans in the World”. Kingfisher put the Barmy Army head-to-head against The Bharat Army, India’s passionate fan group. The two supporters groups took part in a series of 5 ‘Tests


Test 1 – Drone Catching — Catch a cricket ball from 150ft and you could break the world record.

Test 2 – Social take over  – A takeover of the Kingfisher social channels commentating on the India V Engalnd ODI.. Each retweet, comment and like gets a point.

Test 3 – Best chants – 23rd July – Submit some cutting chants about the current India team (Keep ‘em clean ‘ish) and the best will feature on our twitter feed and given to Billy to let loose at Headingly – send chants to our twitter feed @barmyarmy

Test 4 – The Scoville Chili Challenge – testing out some of the world’s hottest chillies at a Kingfisher restaurant and bar. How hot can you go! The last to grab a beer wins and receives a crate of Kingfisher to go home with!

Test 5 – A 11 aside game v the Bharat Army – Guest appearances to take part on both teams.

The winning fan group will receive 4 tickets (including flights) to the IPL Final in 2019 (or equivalent we are just confirming this!) so make sure you get behind us by getting involved wherever you can #BackTheBarmy
